A MAN has been charged with attempted murder by police after a woman suffered "serious injuries" in a house in Co Down.
The woman was taken to hospital after being injured in the Thomas Russell Park area of Downpatrick on Friday.
She remained in a critical condition in hospital on Monday night.
A 30-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning.
