Shaun of the Dead actor Nick Frost has been spotted out and about in Belfast, where he enjoyed pizza in between shooting scenes for his latest movie.

The London-born star is in the city for the filming of How to Train Your Dragon, a live-action remake of the hit 2010 Dreamworks animated movie, which was based on the book series by children’s author Cressida Cowell.

Dean DeBlois, who directed the original animated film is helming the new version, which is being filmed at Titanic Studios and is due for release in cinemas in June 2025.

Frost, best-known for his work with fellow British actor Simon Pegg in the ‘Cornetto Trilogy’ of films - Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End - paid a visit to popular east Belfast pizzeria Flout! on Wednesday.

The actor and comedian was joined by How to Train your Dragon co-stars, New Zealand actor Julian Dennison and Bristol’s Gabriel Howell.

Flout! owner Peter Thompson and staff posed for a snap with the acting trio, with the pizzeria boss stating in an Instagram post about his famous visitors: “Just when I thought this pizza game couldn’t get any madder.”

Also starring alongside Frost in the fantasy adaptation is Scottish actor Gerard Butler, who has been seen enjoying Belfast’s hospitality in recent weeks.

The 300 star was pictured with boxer Carl Frampton outside The Deer’s Head pub in the city centre last month, and was also spotted dining at Belfast’s oldest Indian restaurant, The Archana on the Dublin Road, and Deanes Meat Locker at Howard Street.
