Police are investigating the circumstances of an assault which took place in Co Antrim, in which masked men assaulted a woman with a bat after entering her home.
It was reported at around 10:30pm that masked men entered a house in the Carnreagh Bend area.
Damage was caused to a television and a window before the assault took place.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Shortly before 10.30pm, it was reported that a number of masked men entered a house in the Carnreagh Bend area.
“It was reported that one of the men caused damage to a television and a window, before assaulting the female occupant with a bat.
“Police remain at the scene, conducting enquiries.”
They have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
