Man (42) charged by police probing Co Down burglaries

Police investigating a number of burglaries in several parts of Co Down have charged a 42-year-old man.

He has been charged with one count of burglary and is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday.

He has been released on bail.

The charge relates to burglaries in the Lisburn, Moira, Castlewellan and Ballynahinch areas between February 18 and 23.

Police said a 47-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has also been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to be conducted.
