SCHOOLS and film clubs are being encouraged to get creative and submit entries for the prestigious Into Film Awards 2020.

Marking its sixth year, the awards aim to find the most talented filmmakers, reviewers and educators in Britain and Northern Ireland.

"We are encouraging children and young people aged 5-19 from all backgrounds, with all abilities, to get involved," said Sean Kelly from Into Film NI.

"We have a tremendous film industry in Northern Ireland and it's important to recognise our stars of the future. Film is hugely beneficial educational tools and we want to honour those who create their own films, write reviews and work together as a film club."

The awards are supported by the UK film industry and by the BFI through National Lottery funding. They will take place in March 2020. Deadline for submissions is Friday, December 6, 2019 with every valid submission being entered into a competition to win £1,000 worth of filmmaking equipment for young filmmakers, film clubs and schools.
