THE funeral will take place in Co Antrim today of a Templepatrick man who died in a farm accident on Saturday.

James Moore was found at his farm on the Lowtown Road area.

While the circumstances of the man's death are not known, it was reported that a tractor was involved.

It is understood that the Health and Safety Executive is investigating the circumstances of the death.

Ulster Unionist councillor Mervyn Rea said: "This is yet another tragic death on a farm in Northern Ireland.

"While we do not yet know the exact circumstances surrounding this man's death, this underlines the dangers of working alone on a farm, especially when machinery is involved."

A service of thanksgiving will be held at Bairds Funeral Home today followed by burial at Antrim Cemetery.
