A 27 YEAR-OLD woman who collapsed and died on a gym treadmill months before her wedding, has been described as "a beautiful friend" and "amazing angel".

Lindsey Coulter, from Fivemiletown, was buried on Tuesday wearing the dress she had bought for her wedding later this year.

The community nurse collapsed and died last Friday at Colebrooke Fitness Gym in Brookeborough despite frantic efforts to save her.

A post-mortem examination has yet to establish the cause of her death.

In a statement on its Facebook page Colebrooke Gym, said: "It is with deep sadness that one of our members Lindsey Coulter has passed away suddenly. Everyone at Colebrooke Fitness would like to offer their deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Lindsey was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed."

Messages from friends were included on the page including one which read: "Such a lovely family, it's heart broken (sic) to see a young girl lying in a coffin with her wedding dress on, hair done and looking so pretty... life is cruel x"

The nurse had been due to marry her boyfriend Brian at St John's Church in Fivemiletown in October but instead mourners gathered at the same church on Tuesday for her funeral.

Described as a 'beautiful angel' the former Fivemiletown College pupil studied nursing at the University of Dundee and worked as a community nurse for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.

Acting principal at Fivemiletown College Janice Allen offered heartfelt sympathy from the school community.

"Lindsey, a past pupil of Fivemiletown College, will be fondly remembered by everyone in the school community for her warm, caring nature and her ready smile. We are deeply saddened by her sudden passing and extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to her parents, sister Alison, fiancé Brian, and wider family circle."

Stacey Granleese, a businesswoman in the neighbouring Fermanagh village of Maguiresbridge, paid tribute on Tuesday to "an amazing friend who will never be forgotten".

"Today we laid to rest a beautiful angel Lindsey Coulter, and my goodness she got the send off she truly deserved. Not only were you a close friend to me, but you were there for me when I needed you most, and never a cross word did we have. Thanks for all the memories you have given me, I will never forget them."

Ulster Unionist councillor Victor Warrington spoke of a "bright and bubbly girl" who was "well-liked by everybody".

"I think it's fair to say that for the town, and in and around the Fivemiletown area, it has been a serious shock. I think it is just the suddenness of it and the fact she had not been ill. It was basically like switching the light off."
