A 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman have been charged in connection with a crash which killed two young men in Co Antrim in April.

Johnny Black (19), from Ballycastle, and Robin Wilson (26) from Armoy died in the two-car collision on the Cushendall Road, Ballycastle at 3.40am on Easter Monday.

Six other people were injured in the crash. It later emerged that a third car may have been in the area when the collision happened.

The man and woman, arrested on Tuesday, were charged last night with assisting offenders and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

They are to appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court on July 27.

A man and a woman, both aged 20, were arrested along with the couple on Tuesday.

Police were last night given more time to question the 20-year-old man, while the woman was released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 22-year-old man was also arrested yesterday and was said to be helping police with their enquiries last night.
