PRIME Video has announced the launch of its first Irish original comedy series, LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, a gameshow hosted by Graham Norton.
Set for release on January 19, the series is an Ireland-centric version of the internationally popular gameshow format featuring 10 of Ireland's comedy talents, Aisling Bea, Jason Byrne, Amy Huberman, Catherine Bohart, David McSavage, Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak and Tony Cantwell, alongside the odd celebrity cameo.
The comedians must attempt to make each other laugh by using every unpredictable comedic tool in the box -without cracking so much as a smile themselves. Anyone who 'breaks' will be shown a red card by Graham Norton and be eliminated from the game.
As the clock counts down and the tension rises, whoever can outlast their competitors will be crowned the first winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland and collect a grand prize of €50,000 for their charity of choice.

LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland is the latest adaptation of the successful Japanese Prime Video series, Documental, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto. The LOL: Last One Laughing format has already become the most watched title of all time on Prime Video in Italy, France and Germany, and had hugely successful local versions in Mexico, Australia, India, Spain, Canada, The Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Sweden.
Other local celebrity hosts include Jay Baruchel (Canada), Eugenio Derbez (Mexico), Fedez (Italy), Michael 'Bully' Herbig (Germany) and Rebel Wilson (Australia).
Prime Video recently announced LOL: Last One Laughing South Africa will be its first South African Original, hosted by Trevor Noah.
