Ahead of a much-anticipated comeback later this year, Irish mixed martial artist champion Conor McGregor will give fans a behind the scenes look at his life in his forthcoming Netflix documentary.
McGregor Forever is released on May 17 and offers an insight into his childhood, with access-all-areas footage of his family and the medical team who helped him prepare for a return to the octagon.
The four-part series shows how McGregor got where he is, the motivation behind his drive to compete and how he handles criticism.
“It’s what I was put here to do,” says the 34-year-old, who sustained a horrific leg break in July 2021 in his UFC 264 loss against Dustin Powers.
Skeptics wondered if McGregor would still be able to compete at a high level post-injury, but the former dual ultimate fight champion, nicknamed ‘the notorious’, never questioned his comeback.

'I'm extremely proud of what I've done and motivated to keep going. This life, it's an up-and-down mental game.
“I'm gonna fight for me. I don't let defeat faze me. The true champions rise again,” says McGregor, who Is expected to take on fellow lightweight Michael Chandler later this year.
McGregor Forever features four, one-hour-long episodes and will show footage from his fights with Nurmagomedov, Poirier and Donald Coerrone, as well as interviews with his long-time coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy.
The series also gives a glimpse of his commitments as a father, including training his young son Conor Jr, and celebrating family moments with fiancée Dee Devlin.
