US ELECTRIC car-maker Fisker claims that its new Fisker Ocean Extreme SUV has achieved a combined WLTP range of up to 440 miles - a feat which would make it the longest range electric SUV sold in Europe, allowing it to drive from London to Glasgow with range to spare.

“From the beginning, we planned the Fisker Ocean to deliver the highest level of design, sustainability, innovation, usability, and range," says Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker.

"We created a fantastic five-passenger vehicle, offering our buyers range confidence and convenience in every trip. This achievement is a major milestone for everyone at Fisker, and we are delighted the range exceeds our initial calculations."

Expected to go on sale from next month, the Fisker Ocean features a dual motor all-wheel-drive drivetrain and is now available to configure and reserve via fiskerinc.com. Customers can choose from three versions - the range-topping (in both senses) Extreme (£60,880 and 440 miles of range), the Ultra (£49,880 and 379 miles) and the Sport (£39,970 and 273 miles).
