Casa Del Colores Cabernet Sauvignon
Casa Del Colores Cabernet Sauvignon

Casa Del Colores Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile, £6.70, M&S

A Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from grapes grown in Chile’s sunny Central Valley, where the grapes are ripened to fresh and fruity perfection. If you love a hint of oak and a concentrated red, this is the wine for you. Bold with expressive blackberry and blackcurrant aromas, a forest floor of fruits take flight onto the palate, supported by soft, round tannins and lingering hint of blackberry on the finish. Highly recommend this one...

Tesco Finest Torrentes 2022

Tesco Finest Torrentes 2022, Salta, Argentina, £8, Tesco

A floral-edged white to have on your radar, Torrentes may not be in the top 10 of best-known grapes – but there’s lots to love about the variety’s aromatic intensity, and it’s fast becoming Argentina’s signature white. Fragrant and fruity, this is a really nice example with ample flavours of lychee and orange peel, balanced by crisp citrus fruit and refreshing acidity. Try it and see for yourself – you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

WINE OF THE WEEK

Vilarnau Rose Cava Trencadis Edition Gaudi Sleeve, £9, Centra

Presented in a Trencadis Edition Gaudi Sleeve, this is the latest edition by Spanish brand Vilarnau.

Inspired by the catalan architects Antoni GaudÍ and Josep MarÍa Pujol. Made from a blend of Garnatxa and Pinot Noir, it’s a very easy to drink, lightly floral and red-fruit version of a traditionally made Cava – in a stunning bottle that would make a nice gift.
