CHRIST The King Youth Choir from Omagh has recorded a CD of classic Christmas carols and hymns.

The album, O Holy Night, features 10 tracks, including The First Noel and O Holy Night, as well as more contemporary Christmas music such as Hope Was Born This Night and Joseph's Lullaby.

O Holy Night is the choir's second album. The first, Let It Shine - Songs of Faith, was launched last year at a production of the Passion.

The new CD will be launched in Christ The King Church, Strathroy, Omagh on Sunday December 16 at 7pm, where the choir will be joined by Cappagh Parish Pope John Paul II Award participants for a journey through the traditional Nativity story in drama and song.

"We invite those from all faith backgrounds to take a step back from the Christmas rush and to join us for what promises to be an uplifting and reflective evening as we ponder on the true meaning of Christmas," says the choir.
