PARENTS keen to inject a little extra magic to their children's Christmas experience this year can send a postcard to Santa – in the hope he might invite them for a festive visit to Lapland.

From this week, retailers SuperValu and Centra, in conjunction with Terra Travel and Kellogg's, are giving two families the chance to win their dream Christmas, including gifts, day trip to Rovaniemi in Finland, visit to Santa's village, special meeting with Rudolph and sled dog ride in the snow.

Brendan Gallen, head of marketing at Musgrave, said: "We are incredibly excited to be offering two lucky families the chance to win a prize that must be every child’s dream at Christmas.

"It’s so easy and free to enter; just head to your nearest SuperValu or Centra store and complete the entry postcard before posting it in the special Christmas post box provided – and you could be a winner."

The competition closes on December 1 and winners must have valid passports and be available to travel on December 17.
