The Chinese car manufacturer – Chery Automotive – has announced that it will expand its model line-up by introducing four new models over the next 12 months.

Chery is one of China’s largest car manufacturers and owns rapidly growing brands such as Jaecoo, Omoda and Lepas.

Details on the new models are limited at this stage, though the brand has confirmed it will introduce its first EV and upgrade its Super Hybrid plug-in hybrid models with larger onboard battery packs, offering longer electric ranges and better efficiency.

Chery’s model line-up consists of the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 SUVs, and has sold more than 29,000 vehicles since the brand came to the UK in August 2025.

Farrell Hsu, managing director at Chery UK, said: “The performance of the Chery brand in the UK in its first year has exceeded our expectations, and the whole team is extremely proud of what’s been achieved in such a short time.”

He added: “We also know how competitive the UK market is, and that’s why we’ll be launching four new and enhanced models over the next 12 months – including our first EV and upgraded Chery Super Hybrid vehicles.”

More information on Chery’s new models will be announced over the next 12 months, with images, UK specifications and prices to be revealed in due course.
