ROCK giants AC/DC have announced they will end their latest tour with a show in Ireland.
The 21-date, 10 country-spanning European leg of the Australian veterans’ Power Up tour will begin with a pair of dates in Germany on May 17 and 21, winding its way through Italy, Spain, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Belgium, England and France before a final show at Croke Park on Saturday August 17.

The Brian Johnson-fronted band celebrated their 50th anniversary last year and still features original member Angus Young on lead guitar alongside rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and new bass player Chris Chaney, who stands in for long-serving bass man Cliff Williams following his retirement from touring in 2016.
Williams does, however, play on the current AC/DC album: Power Up was released in 2020 and the Aussies are still out on the road promoting it.
The rockers were last in Ireland back in 2015, when they played a sold-out show at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose replaced Brian Johnson on the band’s Rock or Bust tour in 2016 when the singer was forced to step away due to issues with his hearing.

However, Johnson re-united with his bandmates to record the Power Up album, which topped the charts in several countries when it was released in November 2020.
AC/DC played their very first show on December 31, 1973, at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia and went on to sell over 200 million albums worldwide.
Their 1980 LP, Back In Black, the first to be recorded with Brian Johnson following the tragic demise of original singer Bon Scott, has racked up global sales of 50 million and counting.
The band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
