A PRIVATE healthcare and general practice and urgent care service founded by two Newry businessmen has announced a major expansion to three other locations in a move which will create more than 70 jobs.
John McEvoy and Dr Declan Morgan are behind Duality Healthcare, which operates two new purpose built private GP clinics in Newry city centre and at Galgorm Castle business park outside Ballymena, which represented an investment of £2 million.
And to complement their Newry headquarters, which first opened in 2017, the pair are planning a further rapid expansion, including clinic openings in Omagh, Derry and Belfast city centre throughout 2024.
Across the Duality Healthcare clinics (www.dualityhealthcare.com), teams consist of experienced GPs and clinicians providing quality, accessible healthcare solutions, and a complete GP service model as an alternative to their current provision of care.
Services include a focus on guaranteed face-to-face GP access within 48 hours, quicker access to clinicians and medical expertise, longer consultation times, seven-day access including evening and weekend appointments and same-day access for acute illness and urgent care/out-of-hours drop-in service, minor surgeries, and ear care services.
In addition to the expansion and a range of membership plans from £6.99 a month, Duality Healthcare says it will be rolling out a full suite of corporate membership options to businesses in the north, ensuring their staff and families can also avail of these services.
