Co Donegal bakery Gallaghers announce new northern supply deal with Asda

CO Donegal bakery Gallaghers has landed a new retail supply deal in the north with Asda.

The Ardara bakehouse has secured listings for six new lines, which will be stocked across all 16 Asda stores in Northern Ireland.

Gallaghers, which has been baking bread in Donegal since 1968, already supplies Tesco in the Republic as well as Dunnes, SuperValu, Centra and Spar across the island of Ireland.

"The bakery has been in existence for over 50 years and is an integral part of community life, all our products are made by experienced bakers who have enhanced their skills over the years to produce the highest quality baked goods,” said Stephen McCann, head of sales for the north.

Cathy Elliot, Asda buying manager added: ‘’It’s fantastic to work with Gallaghers Bakery. We are thrilled to have the brand available in all our stores across Northern Ireland.
