THE Hinch Distillery in Co Down has opened a new dog friendly café.

It's the latest addition to the £15 million tourism and spirit venture, launched by Terry Cross in 2019.

The new café joins the Hinch Distillery Visitors Centre and the Gin School Experience on the site between Carryduff and Ballynahinch,

Open from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10am and 4pm, patrons can enjoy beverages and snacks, including pastries and alcoholic drinks.

Harriet Finnigan from the Hinch Cafeé said furry friends are welcome.

"Our cafe adds a new dimension to our business," she said. "It's open for casual visitors and events in conjunction with tours, providing a memorable experience."

It comes following distillery's recent success at the Meiningers ISW Awards 2023, where its Craft & Casks Imperial Stout Finish Whiskey was named best blended Irish whiskey,

"We are proud to be acknowledged among the industry's finest," added Darren Cosgrove, one of the café's managers.

"These accolades reflect our dedication to excellence, and we look forward to welcoming even more visitors."
