ENCOM Energy has secured three major contracts worth up to £12 million to provide solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage solutions more more than 1,400 homes across the north.

A sister company to the Mayfair Group, Encom has been blazing a trail in the renewable energy market since its inception in May 2021.

The company is backed by a £5 million investment from Harrier Investments, giving it significant buying power and savings which are on to customers.

The three new contracts include the Hyde Park development in Mallusk for 1200-plus homes over a 10-year build.

Then there is Terry Wood in Lurgan which includes more than 100 homes, and Moira One and Thorburn Gate, part of the Mayfair Group’s eco zero homes, which will see the installation of 100 units.

Founded by Don Patterson, who has more than 25 years of experience in UK property, construction, recruitment, and healthcare sectors, Encom (www.encomenergy.co.uk) collaborates with architects, building developers, businesses, and home-owners to offer solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging installations.

Mr Patterson said: “We're thrilled to have secured these significant contract wins, which highlight Encom Energy's expertise in delivering sustainable energy solutions for both smaller and large-scale developments.

"Our extensive experience in construction through the Mayfair Group highlighted the substantial impact of buildings on global emissions and energy consumption.

“Our vision was to seamlessly integrate solar energy into every new build, so we invested significantly in sourcing the best products and suppliers, harnessing our buying power to secure favourable deals, and Encom was born.

“Since we launched, we've seen a huge surge in interest from developers all over the UK and Ireland who want their new builds to be as energy efficient as possible.

“These contracts reinforce Encom’s dedication to shaping a greener, more energy-efficient future for communities across Northern Ireland and beyond."
