ANTRIM-based Jans Group has signed on another significant acquisition in the waste sector.
It has taken a majority stake in BlueMAC, a world leader in the design, planning and manufacture of material processing systems and waste recycling facilities.
Jans Group operates a number of companies encompassing electric and commercial vehicles, camper-vans, modular builds and composite manufacturing.
The addition of BlueMac supports the development of Jans Group's sales presence in the UK and across the world, especially in Australia.
It also allows it to export into new international markets and to continue to build a green agenda in line with its waste to energy plans.
Established in 2019 and employing around 200 staff, the Jans Group announced a £50 million growth plan in 2021.
Its chief executive Ronan Hamill said: “We have grown exponentially since 2019, and our mission is to profitably deliver outstanding products and projects within their chosen sectors.
“We have been true to our initial vision and values and believe this announcement is another step forward on our journey to accomplish great things in a number of sectors in Northern Ireland and beyond.
“I'm now looking forward to working across the waste management and resource sector, with BlueMAC, delivering waste and resource infrastructure solutions in a world where innovation and technology is key."
The BlueMac team is currently in Australia at the Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) in Sydney with its dealer Skala, where it is meeting with existing and new customers and working on several key projects.
Jans Group will also exhibiting at the Recycling and Waste Expo at the NEC in Birmingham on September 13/14.
