INSPIRED Tax Incentives has appointed a new director to its expanding team, having taken on Ruairi Dougal as head of corporate finance.

The appointment signifies a new area of growth for Inspired, with the introduction of Inspired Corporate Finance, which Ruairi will lead.

The firm says deal activity is expected to remain strong in 2022 and it wants to offer clients “a trusted business adviser who can help maximise their return on transaction activities”.

Inspired Corporate Finance is dedicated to helping clients across a range of areas, including mergers and acquisitions (including partial realisations), management buy-outs and buy-ins, financial due diligence, and private equity/debt and capital advisory.

Ruairi is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 15 years transaction experience across UK and Ireland advising on both buy side and sell side engagements.

Prior to joining Inspired, he spent six years with EY’s transactions advisory services team where he specialised in performing a wide range of corporate finance and financial due diligence services for a wide range of corporate accounts in the UK and Irish markets. Alongside working with numerous mid-tier private equity accounts in London.

Before working with EY, Ruairi was a senior manager within PwC’s deals team across Belfast and London where he spent more than nine years advising on a large number of high profile transactions.

In his new role Ruairi is responsible for providing corporate finance advice and financial due diligence support to a breadth of clients – from small owner managed businesses, private equity houses to larger corporates clients.
