MOY Park owner Pilgrim’s Pride has completed its acquisition of Kerry Group’s meats and meal business for £704 million.

The deal, first agreed in June 2021, sees around 4,500 staff transferred from Kerry to the Colorado-based corporation, including around 800 workers based in Enniskillen and Carrickmacross.

The sites primarily produce products under the Mr Brains and Mattesson brands.

Kerry Group chief executive Edmond Scanlon said the deal marked “a very significant milestone” in the food group’s evolution.

“I would like to thank all of the 4,500 employees who transition to Pilgrim's today for their contribution to Kerry over the years and I wish them the very best in the future,” he added.
