BELFAST-based tour operator Travel Solutions plans to operate weekly flights to popular sun destinations Majorca and the Algarve from City of Derry Airport throughout next summer.

Bookings opened yesterday for a choice of self-catering and hotel holidays options, with the new routes operating from June 29 to August 31 next year.

Peter McMinn, managing director of Travel Solutions said “ We've always known that holidaymakers in the north west want to fly from their local airport, and thanks to the team at City of Derry Airport, we are now able to offer award-winning holidays to the island of Majorca and to the Algarve from summer 2022.

“We chose these two destinations because they offer so much and are ideal for families, couples and younger sun worshippers. Choose from relaxing by the pool or on the beach, to touring the region for the more inquisitive visitor.”

Travel Solutions, which earlier this year marked its 25th anniversary, says it offers full consumer financial protection with both ATOL and CAR licences so customers can book with confidence.

It says there are a variety of packages available for both destinations with only a £50 per person deposit, and prices start from £499 including flights and self-catering accommodation.

Steve Frazer, managing director of City of Derry Airport said: “Travel Solutions is an award-winning company and well renowned in our region, so people can now fly local with confidence.”
