ANOTHER 20 high quality training places for people with a minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline are being made available in the latest Assured Skills Digital Academy in partnership with Deloitte.

Participants (who must apply to join the Academy by noon on Sunday August 29) will receive eight weeks of industry-relevant training with South Eastern Regional College.

And on completion they are then guaranteed an interview for a role in Deloitte’s Salesforce.com or software engineering team.

“This is an excellent opportunity for people with a degree to reskill for a career in digital consulting and potentially gain employment with leading multinational like Deloitte, and I would urge anyone who is interested and eligible to apply,” said Economy Minister Gordon Lyons, whose department runs the Assured Skills pre-employment training programme.

Deloitte's regional head Jackie Henry said: “Digital helps to create new growth by elevating the human experience with connected ideas, technology, and talent.

“We are proud to playing a part in developing skills in this area through the Assured Skills Academy. It is a great opportunity for those who obtain a place.”

SERC principal Ken Webb added: “The training students receive will provide an excellent foundation for a successful career in the growing digital sector, enabling them to play an important role in the economic growth of Northern Ireland.”
