LISBURN-based OKTO Technologies has announced the creation of 20 new jobs following a surge in the growth of the business.

The company, which also operates from central London, specialises in the development and delivery of smart building technologies and control systems for commercial and high value residential properties.

It recently fast-tracked a new division, OKTOair, during the coronavirus pandemic. The AI-led air filtration system is capable of removing 99.98 per cent of the Covid-19 virus within 10 minutes.

The new roles include project engineers, project managers, engineering designers, software developers, electricians, estimators, and business development specialists.

It will take the company’s workforce to around 85.

The roles are based in the north, but offer the chance to travel and work in London.

Managing director, Philip Dowds said the business continues to expand.

“We have earned a great reputation for our expertise, innovation, high level end-to-end contract management and uncompromising attention to detail," he said.

“As such, demand for our full range of services has grown dramatically and this has created great opportunities to join our team.”

The managing director added: “2021 marks the start of an exceptionally busy period for OKTO. We already have a very skilled and driven team in place and we are keen to supplement this by attracting more top talent.”
