TWENTY five jobs have been created following the open of a new eaterie at The Boulevard retail and shopping complex in Banbridge.

Restaurant chain Moes Grill has invested £900,000 to open its third outlet, which has taken inspiration from 'steampunk' culture with quirky, industrial décor, urban graffiti and intimate booth seating.

Owner Darren Clarke said: “We're delighted to have found a home at The Boulevard for our third restaurant, especially given the synergy between their shoppers and our target diners.

“With our steampunk themed interiors, our restaurant has a totally different look and feel to our other branches, and we hope this will help to create a warm and welcoming environment for our customers.”

Located next to the Omniplex and Ninja Boxx entertainment facilities, the family-owned business officially opened its doors on Friday, serving up an extensive menu selection, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, light bites and traditional Sunday roasts.

The Boulevard is currently bucking the 2019 retail trends, with a 24 per cent year-to-date growth and a 15 per cent increase in footfall in the same period

The centre's retail director Chris Nelmes said: “It’s fantastic to see the opening of Moes Grill as an extension of our food and beverage offering.

“This year we've welcomed a number of new retailers such as Jack and Jones Junior, Radley, Suit Direct and Samsonite, but it is great to see that growth extending into our entertainment and leisure facilities.”
