ONE of the north's biggest employers has launched a new programme offering participants a return to work after an extended period of absence.

IT firm Allstate's 'Ready to Resume' project, aimed at those who have been out of employment for over two years, is an initial training programme that empowers allows participants a way back to work in IT without the barriers of CV critiquing and formal interviews.

The 12-week paid training programme effectively allows those daunted by a return to the workplace a way to pick up where they left off, offering upon completion, a potential offer of permanent employment at a salary and level of seniority befitting of previous experience.

If you have been out of employment for over two years, have three or more years of software development experience and hold an IT qualification

(HND or degree) job opportunities are available at Allstate, which opened a new £30 million Belfast office last year.

A series of open days for the 'Ready to Resume' programme begin next Tuesday, May 28 from 2pm to 3pm at Allstate's Mays Meadow base in Belfast.

A further open day will be held the following week, June 5 from 9.30am to 11am in Belfast.
