SWISS watchmaker TAG Heuer is to open its first standalone Irish boutique at Belfast's Queen's Arcade this summer.

The new boutique represents a £400,000 investment by Lunn’s Jewellers and the announcement comes as the

Victorian Shopping Centre is undergoing a £2m refurbishment.

Peter Lunn, chairman of Lunn’s Jewellers said:

“This announcement marks our latest investment into the redevelopment of Queen’s Arcade and is a further vote of confidence in Belfast as an attractive retail destination with huge potential to attract high end customers.

"TAG Heuer is a world-renowned brand which has longstanding associations with the worlds of sport and Hollywood, so for it to choose to expand its shop-in-shop presence here to a standalone TAG Heuer boutique is a huge endorsement for the city.”

Rob Diver, managing director of TAG Heuer Europe added:

"We believe that the opening of this new Boutique will take TAG Heuer to new heights in Northern Ireland and allow clients to experience our exceptional timepieces and strong brand DNA in a 360-degree environment, complemented by the very best customer service and shopping experience. It is great to see the redevelopment of this iconic part of Belfast and to be one of the key brands integral in this new venture."
