Esri Ireland to create new jobs in Co Antrim

GEOGRAPHIC information systems (GIS) specialist Esri Ireland has announced 35 new jobs, some of which are to be based in the north.

It will create the new positions over the next two-and-a-half years, with a limited number to operate its offices in Holywood. The majority will be based Dublin.

The investment supports the Esri Ireland's goal of becoming a £8.5m business by 2020 and will bring total number employed to 85.

Available positions include skilled and specialist roles such as software engineers, GIS consultants and developers, technical support as well as sales and marketing people.

As a member of Esri UK and the global group, the team will be working on Irish and international projects.

Esri Ireland had revenues of £5.9m in 2016, up 21 per cent on 2015, with the strong growth being driven by new public and private sector clients.

Director Paul Synnott said the investment was a sign of commitment to existing customers throughout Ireland

"This will empower us to demonstrate the tangible cost savings and service improvement that GIS can deliver to leading businesses around the country.”
