BELFAST-based IT service provider CMI has continued its drive into the UK information technology market by acquiring IT managed services company Solsis Ltd.

Based at Bracknell in Berkshire, Solsis services 2,500 users within the private/third sectors in and around the south of England, including London, and provides a range of services including project management, managed services, cloud computing and security solutions.

This purchase is the second national acquisition for CMI and further solidifies their plan to become a market leading managed service provider.

The acquisition will double the number of staff in the mainland with immediate effect and based on the growth plans it is anticipated that there will be a further increase in local headcount of 20 per cent.

CMI managing director Ken Roulston said: "It was always a strategic intention to further expand our offering into GB following our previous acquisition and the purchase of Solsis allows us to do that. They are similar to CMI in terms of ethos and operate in similar markets."
