TEDXSTORMONT (TED standing for 'Technology, Entertainment, Design') returns to Belfast tomorrow for its third year.

Now at a brand new venue, The MAC, the theme for 2016 is 'imagine' and there will be talks by 12 movers and shakers from a variety of 'worlds':

Sinead McSweeney (Twitter), Prof Patrick Johnston (QUB vice-chancellor), Sinead O’Sullivan (space engineer/Harvard Business School), Elyse Cherry (CEO Boston Community Capital), Angela McGowan (Chief economist, Danske Bank and incoming CBI chief executive), Kim Constable (yoga teacher/entrepreneur/unschooling advocate), Niamh Hyland (Purpose, NYC/ singer-songwriter), Jennifer Rawlings (Comic/filmmaker), Alastair Ross MLA (Junior minister, NI Executive/Assembly), Pádraig Ó Tuama (poet/theologian, Corrymeela), David Gavaghan (Chair CBI NI / Vice chair Washington Ireland Programme), Professor Mike Hardy (Centre for Trust, Peace & Social Relations at Coventry University) and the Open House Festival Choir.

Compered by BBC broadcaster William Crawley, these speakers will 'imagine' future society in Northern Ireland and beyond.

"We are really excited for our third TEDxStormont," says Eva Grosman, event curator.

"Due to the demand for tickets we have had to move from Parliament Buildings at Stormont to The MAC, which means we can give more people the opportunity to come and listen to some of the best speakers and ideas generators around.

"The main thrust of TEDx is to develop ideas worth spreading. This year we have some first rate speakers from as far as California and Boston and also closer to home, so we will have a blend of experiences that will create a fantastic event."
