THE Pretenders have just announced that they will play four dates at small Irish venues in May.
The Chrissie Hynde-fronted hitmakers' Relentless UK & Ireland Tour '23 will begin with five shows in England prior to the run of Irish dates at Dolans in Limerick (May 19), Cork's Cyprus Avenue (May 20), The Olympia Theatre in Dublin (May 21) and The Limelight 1 in Belfast (May 23).
This focus on smaller, more intimate shows for the Pretenders follows the success of Chrissie Hynde's recent solo tour of pubs and working men’s clubs.
As for what punters can expect to hear at the upcoming Irish shows, Hynde quips "As yet unreleased songs and absolutely no hits whatsoever. Well, maybe a few.”
