JOHN Fogerty has announced a Dublin show for his Bad Moon Rising Celebration Tour at 3Arena on May 23.

The tour finds the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman performing all the band's hits from the 1960s and 70s - which include iconic era-defining tunes like Proud Mary, Down on the Corner, Fortunate Son, Bad Moon Rising and Have You Ever Seen the Rain - along with favorites from his acclaimed solo work.

Fogerty celebrated 50 years in music in 2019 with a worldwide tour, My 50 Year Trip, and Fogerty recently partnered with Concord on the official release of Creedence Clearwater Revival At The Royal Albert Hall on the label’s Craft Recordings.

More than 50 years after the legendary 1970 show, the original multitrack tapes were meticulously restored and mixed by Grammy-winning producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. An accompanying documentary takes viewers from Creedence's earliest years in California through their meteoric rise to worldwide fame, and is the only concert footage of the original CCR line-up to be released in its entirety.

This year has also seen the Creedence leader acquiring a majority interest of the worldwide publishing rights to his historic songs.

"As of this January, I own my own songs again," says Fogerty.

"This is something I thought would never be a possibility. After 50 years, I am finally reunited with my songs. I also have a say in where and how my songs are used. Up until this year, that is something I have never been able to do.

"I am looking forward to touring and celebrating this year, and I am excited for new ideas and a renewed interest in my music… like a revival."
