1. When did you think about a career in music and what were your first steps into it?

I only ever wanted to sing and play music. I started playing gigs in my local pub when I was 14 and singing at people's weddings in the church across the road from my house.

2. Best gigs you've been to?

Bob Dylan at the Roundhouse in London around 2009. To hear him sing some of his songs in a completely different way and really have to listen to the lyrics to catch which song it was was so interesting. He's a magical man and live music is the closest thing to real magic in my opinion.

Bruce Springsteen's Seeger Sessions at the Hammersmith Apollo around 2006. Fantastic energy and loved his versions of the songs. Again a great band. Pure joy emanating from the stage.

3. Fantasy wedding/birthday party band?

Tom Petty, Natalie Merchant, Tom Waits and Patsy Cline - in the round and all singing and harmonising on each other's songs.

4. The record you'd take to a desert island?

Joni Mitchell's Blue. Every time I listen I hear something new or a nod to another intention behind the song. It never gets tiring to listen to.

5. And the book you'd take to a desert island?

Michael Singer's The Untethered Soul. I have given this book to so many people and it's brought me a lot of peace. I found it really helpful for my anxiety and also letting go of the past and the future and staying present.

6. Top three films?

I can't watch any horror movies or anything that's got violence in it. It stays with me for days after, so I usually watch movies that are really easy going and that help me switch off.

I really like comedies or kids films. I have two daughters and the favourites at the moment are Encanto, Cinderella (the one with Camila Cabello) and Inside Out.

7. Worst film you've seen?

Death Becomes Her. I remember I went to see it in the cinema and thinking it was so ridiculous - three women trying to stay eternally young and beautiful. I think I'd find it hilarious if I watched it now though.

8. Favourite authors?

Marian Keyes, Eckhart Tolle and Michael Singer.

9. Sport you most enjoy?

Hmm I don't watch any sports – sorry. I really love yoga and anything to do with mindfulness.

10. Ideal holiday destination?

Bali. I've never been, but it's somewhere I would love to go. Start off in a yoga retreat for a week and then have a few days eating and drinking and walking on the beach.

11. Pet hates?

Thumbs up emojis – it's so non-descriptive and boring. And people being rude to older folk.

12. What's your favourite:

Dinner? Fresh vegetarian food.

Dessert? Any kind of chocolate peanut butter combination.

Drink? Champagne.

13. Who is your best friend and how do you know each other?

Louise Dennison - we've been friends since school. Even if we haven't seen each other for months, within seconds of getting together we're back to being 15 again.

14. Is there a God?

For me god is in everything - nature, people, animals, the stars, the moon, the sun, in our intentions and our hopes and dreams.
