DIRTY John podcast host Christopher Goffard will be in Belfast soon for a special 'in conversation' event.
The Pulitzer prize-nominated journalist and author – who shared in the LA Times' 2011 Pulitzer win as a staff writer – has already racked up 10 million downloads for his six-part true crime themed show, which launched in September last year.
The iTunes podcast chart-topper tells the bizarre and deeply unsettling story of John Meehan, a cunning conman whose whirlwind romance and marriage to unsuspecting Orange County woman Debra Newell spiralled into darkness and, ultimately, attempted murder between 2014 and 2016.
Goffard, whose crime fiction debut Snitch Jacket was a finalist for the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel in 2008, will be chatting about the show at The Empire on Friday April 6.
