ARMAGH'S 7 Hills Blues Fest returns next weekend 11-14, bringing music to more than 30 venues and locations across the city over the course of four days.

Now in its sixth year, 2016 offers the biggest-ever 7 Hills programme featuring more than 70 performances, gigs and jam sessions, nearly all of which are free to attend.

Amanda St John, Mirenda Rosenberg, Dave McHugh, Ronnie Greer, Tony Villiers, Pat McManus, The Watery Hill Boys and Rab McCullough are among the 57 acts signed up to entertain the crowds this year.

Food plays a big part in the 7 Hills Blues Festival, with a selection of foodie events taking place over the weekend in many of Armagh's restaurants and cafes.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Garath Keating, said

"Every year, the city of Armagh welcomes thousands of music fans, solo travellers, groups and families to enjoy an unrivalled line-up of music and activities guaranteed to enthral.

"A real gem for the summer, the city is buzzing with the best music, craic, hospitality and countless things to do, creating a real feel-good factor in the city."
