FORMER Sonic Youth singer/bassist Kim Gordon stands in for Sir Iggy of Pop tonight to host his regular Iggy Confidential radio show.
The Stooges man plays old records he loves and new records he thinks you will love on this eclectic Friday night programme, but tonight finds one of America's greatest alt rock icons using it as an excuse for a trip down memory lane.
For two hours, Kim will be delivering tunes prompted by remembrances from her remarkable life in music, as covered in full and frank detail in her recent best-selling autobiography Girl In A Band.
Basically, it's a free mixtape curated by the coolest woman in rock. The Beeb would do well to sign her up for a regular, Iggy-style show.
