TYRONE’S management duo of Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher have put their names forward to continue in their roles next season, The Irish News understands.

The pair guided the Red Hands to All-Ireland glory in their first season in charge back in 2021 and despite two disappointing seasons since are eager to carry on. It’s understood they are seeking a second three-year term.

Tyrone’s defeat to Kerry in the All-Ireland quarter-final brought the curtain down on a third year in charge for the duo and speculation grew that the duo may step away.

After the highs of 2021, the Red Hands have failed to live up to expectations and crashed out of the Championship early last season.

Derry, the eventual Ulster champions, flattened them in Omagh, while Armagh ended their season in the first round of the Qualifiers.

This year, Tyrone fell at the first hurdle in Ulster against Monaghan while they finished third in their group during the All-Ireland round-robin series behind Armagh and Galway.

After beating Donegal to reach the last eight, Kerry then proved a step too far in the All-Ireland quarter-final and were deserved 12-point winners.

A Tyrone County Board meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday night where the senior manager’s position will be discussed.
