BRIAN Dooher and Feargal Logan were formally ratified for another three years as joint Tyrone managers at a county committee meeting this evening.

The pair took over from Mickey Harte in late 2020 and guided their native county to the fourth All-Ireland in their history the following summer, overcoming Kerry in a memorable semi-final before beating Mayo in the decider.

Their defence of the titles fell flat in 2022, well beaten by both Derry and Armagh in going out early, before a limp exit at Kerry's hands this year having been millimetres from being knocked out by Westmeath in the final group game when John Heslin's last-gasp free shaved just wide of the far post.

There had been initial speculation that the pair, having completed a three-year term, would step down but they've now signed up for another three seasons.

"At tonight’s meeting of Coiste Chontae Thír Eoghain, delegates overwhelmingly endorsed Senior Football Joint Managers Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher for a further three-year term," read a statement from Tyrone GAA.
