Fire crews are currently battling a blaze at the Kilroot power station in Co Antrim. 

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said firefighters were alerted to the fire at the site in Carrickfergus at around 8am on Tuesday.

"Firefighters are currently in attendance at a fire at a commercial premises. The incident is ongoing," an NIFRS spokesperson said.

Seven fire appliances from various stations are on scene trying to contain the fire, including crews from Whitla, Larne, Glengormley, Carrickfergus, Whitehead and Ballyclare.
