A 27-year-old man is due in court today following a serious one-vehicle crash in Kilkeel on Saturday morning.
It is understood that another man who was a passenger in the vehicle when it crashed on the Newry Road remains in a serious condition in hospital.
A police spokesperson said the arrested man is due before Newry Magistrates' Court and has been charged with causing death or grievous bodily injury by careless driving without due care and attention.
He was also charged with possession of a Class B controlled drug as well as using a motor vehicle without insurance , no vehicle test certificate and no driving licence.
Following normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
