A CAR mounted a pavement and crashed through the garden wall of a house in north Belfast yesterday.

Ricky McConnell (78) were left shocked and shaken after a red car mounted the pavement and crashed into his home at North Queen Street at around 10.45am yesterday.

It is understood the driver of the car may have taken unwell.

Neighbours later comforted Mr McConnell saying that "walls can be fixed".

Police say fire fighters attended the scene and that no serious injuries were reported.

Sinn Féin councillor JJ Magee said: "Thankfully the driver was not seriously injured and no pedestrians or the people who live in the house were hurt."
