A MAN in his twenties has died after an accident which police believe involved two motorcycles.

Police have appealed for a second motorcyclist who they believe left the scene on foot to get in touch.

Inspector Peter Duncan said a police patrol came across the accident on Main Street in Ballycarry at around 9.50pm on Thursday.

"At this time we believe that two motorcycles were involved in a collision which in turn has caused one of the motorcycles to collide with a parked car. This has tragically resulted in the death of a one of the riders, a man aged in his twenties. It is believed the rider of the second motorcycle, who may have sustained injuries in the collision, left the scene on foot and has yet to be located."
