PSNI issue armed robbery appeal following east Belfast incident

PSNI Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an armed robbery at commercial premises on the Holywood Road, Belfast last night (Friday, October 14). 



According to police, at approximately 9pm a male entered the premises brandishing a knife. He demanded money from the tills before running off on foot after a quantity of cash was handed over.


The male is described as wearing a black coat with a hood and black tracksuit bottoms with a blue stripe. He was wearing gloves and spoke with a Belfast accent. 



The assistant was left very badly shaken but uninjured.



Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1287 14/10/16.
