THE body of a north Belfast woman who died suddenly in Spain is to be brought home to her grieving family on Thursday.

Relatives of Aisling Anderson (22) yesterday attended a court in Majorca to obtain the documentation needed for her body to be released to her family.

The mother-of-two had just arrived in Santa Ponsa for a weekend break with her fiancé Michael McGrann when the tragedy happened last Thursday.

They had been enjoying their first night out when Ms Anderson collapsed.

Despite efforts by paramedics, the young woman passed away. Her partner was later told by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs that she had died of heart failure.

The couple, from the Ardoyne area of Belfast, had only been engaged for two weeks.

Over the weekend, Mr McGrann returned home to care for the children, Michael (4) and three-month-old daughter Ava-Rose, while two of Ms Anderson's sisters flew to the Spanish island.

Ms Anderson's sisters last night received the documents needed to be able to begin her repatriation back to Northern Ireland.

Her body is expected to arrive back into the north on Thursday with funeral arrangements still to be announced.

Tributes have continued to pour in for the young woman on social media, with many describing her as a "beautiful person".

A friend wrote on Facebook: "Miss u sooo (sic) chick, wish it was all a big dream".

Another tribute said she was "always smiling", while another described her as "such a beautiful person inside and out".
