A LEVI'S outlet is opening at The Boulevard shopping centre in Co Down with the creation of 15 new jobs.

The outlet will open in the Banbridge centre in October, offering discounts across jeanswear and accessories.

The move will create 15 full-time and part-time jobs.

Levi's is the seventh business to open in the centre this year, following new retailers including Radley, Suit Direct, Samsonite and Jack and Jones Junior.

The Boulevard has seen a 24 per cent rise in sales this year.

Aisling Lenagh, asset manager of Lotus Property which owns the shopping centre, said it was pleased to welcome the new outlet.

"The centre has enjoyed fantastic growth over the past year by way of sales volumes and visitor footfall, testament to the ever-growing selection of quality retail brands and products we offer as well as continuous investment in the shopper experience," she said.

"We hope to continue on this growth trajectory throughout the rest of 2019 – especially as we head into the golden quarter."

Richard Hurren, Levi's North Europe vice president, said it felt The Boulevard was the ideal home for its new shop.

"We were attracted to the site due to its location and proximity to both Northern Irish shoppers and those from the Republic and we can’t wait to open our doors to the people of Banbridge and beyond," he said.
