BUILDERS' merchants JP Corry's long established north Belfast-based Tennent Street site has been relocated to a newer and larger location less than a mile away in a £650,000 investment by the firm.

The new premises at Hillview Road offers a number of improvements, including a larger builder's yard and warehousing area, expanded product offering and shop layout, parking facilities and a first class delivery service.

Enhanced with quality lighting, the spacious internal shop area enables the branch to provide a larger range of products ranging from doors and floors to paint and decorating products in a more pleasant environment. The large builders' yard also results in an increased choice of building materials on site.

JP Corry regional director Gary Hunter said: "We're very excited to relocate to this considerably larger site. The Tennent Street branch has served the needs of trade and DIY customers for over 50 years, and we'll continue to do that at the new location.

"The new facilities are exceptional and provide us with an opportunity to improve our service to local trade customers. The shop is also more retail friendly, designed to be more inviting of individuals who don't generally purchase from builders merchants so we're excited to see what that brings."

He added: "The transition has gone very smoothly and the team, who have an exceptional amount of knowledge and advice to offer, are looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to the branch."

The Hillview branch joins JP Corry's Castlereagh, Andersonstown and flagship Springfield Road branch in serving local tradespeople and DIY enthusiast's in the Belfast area. In total it has 17 branches across the north.

The investment reaffirms JP Corry's commitment to investing locally and creating additional employment in the area. It joins a series of improvements the company has made to its branch network over the last 24 months.
