A NEW initiative to train staff working within schools in Northern Ireland to better understand the emotional impact of sight loss on young people has been launched.

STRESSED out university students have been given some 'puppy love' in a bid to forget their exam worries.

AN east Belfast woman has spoken of her delight that children with sight problems will be able to reach their potential with the help of a lottery grant - just like her two-year-old child.

There was pause for praise as guide dogs went to church yesterday to celebrate 30 years of the charity helping people with sight loss in Northern Ireland.
