THE Brandywell could be hosting Sports Direct Premiership soccer next season after Institute on Friday night bagged the promotion/relegation play-off spot - against Ballymena United - thanks to a 1-0 Playr-Fit Championship win at Portadown, who were crowned champions last Saturday.

Annagh and Bangor drew 0-0 to open the door to former Derry City skipper Kevin Deery’s Brandywell-based Stute, who won thanks to a Michael Harris goal.

Institute share the Brandywell with SSE Airtricity Premier League big guns Derry City, who last played in the Irish League in the early 1970s.
